About these terms

These terms of use (“Terms”) govern your use of acceptance.co.uk (the “Website”). The Website is operated by Tudor Lodge Digital Ltd, trading as Acceptance Finance, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 10437769), whose address is 5 Fleet Place, London EC4M 7RD.

By using the Website you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. These Terms cover use of the Website only; any loan or finance agreement will be between your business and the lender, on the lender’s own terms.

We are a broker, not a lender

Acceptance is a credit broker. We do not lend money. We introduce businesses to lenders and finance partners on our panel, who make their own lending decisions.

• We work with a range of lenders but do not cover the whole of the market.
• We may receive a commission from a lender when a loan completes. The amount can vary by lender, product and the terms agreed. This commission is not charged to you and does not affect the total cost of your loan. You can ask us about the nature and amount of any commission before you proceed.
• We do not charge you a fee for our service.

Who can use our service

Our service is for businesses only, not for personal borrowing. To apply you must:

• be at least 18 years old and a UK resident;
• be a director, owner or partner with authority to borrow on behalf of the business;
• represent a business registered and trading in the United Kingdom.

Lenders set their own criteria, which typically include at least 12 months’ trading, a minimum annual turnover of £50,000, 3–6 months of bank statements and no insolvency or unpaid CCJs. All finance is subject to status, affordability, verification and the lender’s checks.

Information on the Website

We work hard to keep the Website accurate and up to date, but the information on it is for general guidance only. It is not financial, legal or tax advice, and it does not take into account your business’s circumstances.

• Calculators and examples – our loan calculator and any rates, repayments, APRs and funding times shown are illustrative only. Your actual rate, term and costs will be set by the lender after assessing your application.
• Decision and funding times are targets, not guarantees. They depend on lenders, the information you provide, underwriting, asset valuations, weekends and bank holidays.
• Nothing on the Website is an offer of credit or a promise that finance will be available.

Borrowing is a serious commitment. Some loans may not be suitable, especially if your business is in financial difficulty. If you are unsure, consider getting independent advice. Free business debt help is available from Business Debtline.

Your responsibilities

When you use the Website or apply through us, you agree to:

• give information that is true, complete and not misleading, and tell us promptly if it changes;
• only apply on behalf of a business you are authorised to act for;
• have permission from any other person (such as a co-director or guarantor) whose details you give us, and make them aware of our Privacy policy.

Giving false information may be reported to fraud prevention agencies and could result in your application being declined.

Acceptable use

You must not:

• use the Website for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or any connected system;
• introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material;
• scrape, copy or harvest content or data from the Website using automated tools without our written permission;
• impersonate any person or business.

Intellectual property

The Website and its content — including text, design, graphics, logos, the Acceptance name and the loan calculator — are owned by or licensed to Tudor Lodge Digital Ltd. You may view and print pages for your own business use. You must not copy, reproduce or use any content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Links to other sites

The Website may link to websites run by lenders, partners and other third parties. We have no control over those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

You may link to our homepage in a way that is fair and legal, but you must not suggest any association, approval or endorsement by us where none exists.

Website availability

We do not guarantee that the Website will always be available or free from errors. We may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice, for example for maintenance.

Our liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

Because our service is for businesses, and subject to the paragraph above:

• we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on general information or illustrative figures on the Website;
• we are not responsible for any lender’s decision to offer or decline finance, or for the terms a lender offers;
• we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or for any indirect or consequential loss.

Privacy and cookies

We use your personal data as set out in our Privacy policy and use cookies as described in our Cookie policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page applies each time you use the Website, so please check it regularly.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
