What is a business credit line?

A business credit line is a revolving facility that gives you access to a pre-agreed amount of capital — up to £500,000 — which you can draw from, repay, and draw again as many times as you need.

Unlike a term loan, you don’t receive the full amount upfront and pay interest on all of it. With a credit line, you only pay interest on what you actually draw down. When you repay, that amount becomes available again immediately.

It works like a powerful business overdraft — but far larger and more flexible. Businesses use it for:

£500k

Maximum you can borrow

Best suited for

Businesses with irregular or seasonal cash flow that need flexible access to capital without committing to a fixed loan amount or repayment schedule.

Do I own the asset?

Interest is calculated daily on the outstanding drawn balance only. You never pay for money you haven’t used.

What are the advantages of a business credit line?

A credit line is one of the most flexible financial tools available to a growing business. Here’s an honest comparison.

A term loan gives you a fixed sum upfront which you repay over an agreed period with set monthly payments. A credit line gives you a pre-approved limit you can draw from as needed, repay, and draw again. You only pay interest on what you actually use. For ongoing or irregular funding needs, a credit line is usually the better choice.

Once your credit line is approved and your agreement is signed, draw requests are typically processed the same day — in many cases within a few hours. There's no re-application required each time you draw.

No. There are no standing charges, no unused facility fees, and no commitment fees. Interest is calculated daily on the outstanding drawn balance only. If your balance is zero, your cost is zero.

Yes. As your business grows and your trading history with Acceptance develops, you can apply to increase your facility limit. We'll review your current performance and trading position at that point.

No. Your eligibility check is a soft credit search only — no footprint on your file, not visible to other lenders. A hard search only occurs if you proceed with a formal facility offer.

Yes — the minimum draw per transaction is £10,000. There is no maximum draw, up to your approved facility limit. You can make multiple draws in the same period as long as you remain within your limit.
